tmd was instructed in Spring 2010 to produce a feasibility study for improving the practice facilities at the University's Faculty of Music in St Aldates, Oxford.

As part of the feasibility process, tmd investigated the cost and programme implications of seven different options, including refurbishment of the existing facilities, the installation of acoustically separated pods and the construction of a new extension to the existing building. The process involved detailed consultations with the Faculty and various consultants and suppliers.

A scheme involving the installation of a number of pre-fabricated acoustic pods into the existing building has been approved and works will commence on site following completion of detailed design.
