Oxford University St Cross Building

Oxford University St Cross Building

TMD was appointed as sole consultant to complete a phased copper re-roofing programme totalling over 1700sqm to this Grade II listed building in Oxford.

The building was originally built using a batten rolled copper roofing profile. However, to better suit modern construction methods and improve the durability of the roof, TMD assisted in obtaining Listed Building consent for partial replacement of the batten roll roof to a standing seam detail. The work involved repairs and replacement works to asphalt valley gutters, stone cleaning and wall tie replacement.

TMD undertook the roles of project manager, contract administrator, and designer for the project. The QS and CDMC roles were sub-contracted under TMD.

The work was managed under a JCT 2011 D&B contract across three phases, taking 6 months to complete.
